Compared to the same month of the previous year, housing sales in Turkey increased by 16.7% in July.

Housing sales in Turkey in July increased by 16.7% to 109,548 compared to the same month of the previous year. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the housing sales statistics for July.

According to this, compared to the same month of the previous year, housing sales across Turkey in July rose by 16.7% reaching 109,548. For the period from January to July, housing sales decreased by 17.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to 675,327.

In July, Istanbul had the highest share of housing sales with 15,724 houses sold, accounting for 14.4%. Following this city by sales numbers were Ankara with 9,688 house sales and a 8.8% share, and Izmir with 5,203 house sales and a 4.7% share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Ardahan with 27 houses, Hakkari with 40 houses, and Tunceli with 91 houses, respectively.”
