The minimum limit for housing sales to foreigners for citizenship purposes is being increased from 400,000 dollars to 600,000 dollars starting from the new year.

With an amendment made by the Directorate General of Migration Management on October 16, 2023, the minimum limit for residential property sales to foreigners for residency purposes had been raised from 75,000 dollars to 200,000 dollars. The minimum limit for housing sales for citizenship purposes was set at 400,000 dollars. According to the new regulation, the minimum limit for housing sales to foreigners will be raised to 600,000 dollars starting from the new year.

With the last amendment made on June 13, 2022, foreigners purchasing real estate worth 400,000 dollars gain the right to apply directly for Turkish citizenship. The necessary price for real estate purchases for citizenship had been reduced from 1 million dollars to 250,000 dollars starting from September 2018, and following reactions, it was raised to 400,000 dollars last year. With the new amendment to be made, the minimum limit for selling housing to foreigners will rise from 400,000 dollars to 600,000 dollars starting from the new year.
